• Fundraising through websites/social media

    Social media has become an important and effective tool for fundraising. Crowdfunding websites such as gofundme.com and DonorsChoose.org are popular ways for parent organizations, teachers, and others to raise funds for specific projects.  While these websites can be powerful in collecting funds, the websites also can be a source of potential fraud. 

    We encourage you to stay vigilant as you make online donations.  When making a donation through crowdfunding websites, use websites where the funds go directly to a school/organization and not to an individual requesting the funds.  If you have a question or concern about a crowdfunding website involving our school, please contact our principal, who is responsible for approving all fundraising projects that use the school’s name in a solicitation.
