Welcome to Brookside! I am beginning my 18th year at Brookside Elementary as a school counselor and I wouldn't want to be anywhere else! I love our Bulldog family!
I am a proud graduate of N.C. State University with a B.A. in Psychology and received my M.Ed. in School Counseling from UNC-Chapel Hill.
My interests and hobbies include reading, scrapbooking, outdoor activities and especially spending time with my family.
My role as the School Counselor at Brookside is to promote the academic, career, and social-emotional growth of all students to support them as they reach their full capability. I have the opportunity to see every student through classroom guidance. Also, I meet with students individually and in small groups. Students may talk with a school counselor about a variety of things- feelings, relationships, understanding others, and problem-solving are just a few.
