Mr. Nelson began working at Webb Street School in 2002.  In his tenure at Webb Street, Mr. Nelson has worked as a High School and Elementary teacher and now serves as our school Reading Specialist.  Work experiences prior to Webb Street include: Psychoeducational Therapist (Division TEACCH), Independent Living Counselor, Job Coach, Behavioral Therapist.

Mr. Nelson earned his undergraduate degree from Chaminade University in Honolulu and has Masters degrees from Old Dominion University and Kansas Wesleyan University.  His National Board Certification is in the area of Exceptional Needs Specialist: Early Childhood through Young Adulthood.  He was also the 2008 ARC Teacher of the Year and both the 2008-2009 and 2016-2017 Webb Street School Teacher of the Year.
