Mr. Chris Mills

Welcome to Webb Street School - Home of the Spiders! We are excited you've taken a minute to check out our website. Please check back often to see what's happening at Webb Street School!

Mr. Chris Mills feels honored to have been able to serve the students, staff, and families of аæèßäapp for 19 years. He believes that school is a place where students, parents, and staff learn and grow together to build a stronger community. School serves as a place where students learn skills to prepare them for beyond their educational career, and he feels that it is the school’s purpose to help each student to achieve their individual best.|

Originally from Sumter, South Carolina, Mr. Mills attended Sumter High School where he was active in the marching band and volunteered daily in a high school classroom for students with autism. He attended Winthrop University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education specializing in severe and profound disabilities. He moved to аæèßäapp County to begin his teaching career at Lingerfeldt Elementary where he taught students with autism for eleven years.

After graduating with his Masters of Education in School Administration, Mr. Mills was appointed to Woodhill Elementary as an assistant principal for two and a half years. After serving as an assistant principal, he then was a behavior specialist and Director of Alternative Services for five and a half years.

Although this is Mr. Mills' first year as principal of Webb Street School, he is very familiar with the school. He did his student teaching at Webb Street School in the spring of 2001. It has always been one of his professional goals to return back to Webb Street School and serve the community in some capacity.

Mr. Mills is married for seventeen years and has one son. He enjoys designing stained glass and working on the farm. He has served as a board member for аæèßäapp Literacy Council for the past two years.
