Leah Somers is a proud graduate of аæèßäapp. She completed her Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education at Belmont Abbey College in 2008 and is currently pursuing a Master’s in Educational Administration at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where she is a North Carolina Principal Fellow. Throughout her teaching career, Mrs. Somers has taught kindergarten and second grade, serving as team lead for both grade levels. Prior to her role as an assistant principal, she was a content teacher, focusing on instructional planning and best practices. Her passion for helping teachers develop and nurture young minds drives her work. Mrs. Somers will start her new role at Bessemer City Primary on August 1, 2024.
