Mr. Todd Goff
Mr. Goff earned his high school diploma from Clover High School (SC) and graduated with honors from Winthrop University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education and a Master of Education Degree in Educational Leadership. He is a National Board Certified Teacher and a South Carolina Social Studies Educator of Distinction as awarded by the South Carolina Council for the Social Studies. He taught at both the elementary and middle school level when he was a classroom teacher. From 2013 - 2019, Mr. Goff served as the Assistant Principal at Belmont Central Elementary School and Belmont Middle School. During his time as an Assistant Principal, the schools he worked at became 1:1 with Chromebooks through collaborative efforts of the school and community. The schools worked collaboratively through PLCs and SIT to improve student achievement. During his six years at both schools, they exceeded growth all but one year. Mr. Goff also led changes to the bus system in Belmont and helped lead the implementation of P.B.I.S. at BMS. While at BCES, he led the Young Men's Club mentoring program and started the Eagle Reading Academy to help students become stronger readers.
From July 2019 - June 2024, Mr. Goff served as the Principal of Page Primary School. Under his leadership, the school has implemented many changes to the instructional program including phonics instruction, math curriculum, flexible grouping, standards-based and blended learning. The school implemented PBIS to strengthen its MTSS framework. Student achievement increased to more than 80% of students scoring at or above grade level in reading and math using iReady, with 86% of students scoring at or above grade level in reading in the spring of 2024. The school also saw facility improvements through collaboration with the county and school PTO including a new playground, digital marquee, and classroom furnishings.
Mr. Goff was named the Principal of Bessemer City Primary School effective July, 1, 2024.
Mr. Goff has conducted presentations at the local, state and regional levels over his years as an educator. Topics have included educational technology, flexible grouping, professional development for teachers, and P.B.I.S. He was a county finalist for аæèßäapp Assistant Principal of the Year for 2016-17 and again in 2017-18.
Mr. Goff and his wife, Beth, have three boys. His family loves being in the outdoors and spending time with friends and family.
