Mrs. Sarah Putnam
Mrs. Putnam began her teaching career in аæèßäapp in 2000 as a kindergarten teacher at Pleasant Ridge Elementary. After four years in the classroom, she moved to the media center and served as the media coordinator at Pleasant Ridge Elementary and Bessemer Citiy Central before joing the Bessemer City Primary staff in the fall of 2016. She received her BA in Elementary Education from Western Carolina University and her Masters in Library and Information Sciences from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. When not in the the library, Mrs. Putnam enjoys traveling and exploring with her husband and two children, Russell and Catherine.

Turner
Turner is a red-eared slider who lives in the media center. He and Mrs. Putnam met the summer before she started teaching in 2000 and they have been together ever since. Turner enjoys entertaining student in the media center, begging for food, and posing while having his picture drawn.
