Hello! My name is Melissa McGinnis and this year will be my twentieth year with аæèßäapp and my fifth year as a teacher. I earned my Bachelors degree from Belmont Abbey College in 2009. I have taught 3rd, 1st and 2nd grades. The past four years I have been teaching second grade, and I have found that I love this age and curriculm. I have been married for sixteen years to Michael McGinnis. We have a 5 year old son named Hunter, who is starting kindergarten this year, an American hairless terrier named Foonilla, a donkey named Jack, a horse named Darla, and a rooster named Cocky Locky. We live on a small farm in Dallas, and we LOVE it!!!!!

I have worked at Catawba Heights for over 20 years. This is truly a wonderful school to teach at. I am so excited too be working with your students and you.
