• Information on this page for course selection and registration for the 2025-2026 school year will be updated when available.

    Counselors will be meeting with our current 8th graders on January 27th & 28th. They will select courses for the high school they are zoned to attend next year based off of home address. If students are applying for a choice program, they will still complete registration for their zoned high school. If a student is accepted into a choice program, that school will work with the student on their registration at a later date.

    All students will be selecting their courses on registration cards. These registration cards MUST be signed by a parent/guardian and returned to their homeroom teacher no later than January 31st.

    Monday, January 13th: SMS Counselors will present to 8th grade classes on the School Choice program options. Find a copy of the presentation

    Tuesday, January 14th: Highland Tech, аæèßäapp Early College, and аæèßäapp Early College of Medical Sciences will be at SMS to present to interested 8th grade students. These schools are part of the School Choice program and require an application to be submitted for consideration. You can learn more about the School Choice program options by going to the аæèßäapp County School Choice website.

    Tuesday, January 14th: East аæèßäapp High School's Health Science Academy will have an information night in their auditorium at 5:30pm

    Wednesday, January 15th: School Choice & transfer application window opens

    Thursday, January 16th: North аæèßäapp High School will have a parent registration night in their auditorium at 5:00pm

    Thursday, January 16th: South Point High School will have a curriculum night from 5-6:30pm

    Wednesday, January 22nd: аæèßäapp Early College High School will have an open house from 5:30-7:00pm

    Thursday, January 23rd: Highland School of Technology will host an open house from 5:30-7:00pm

    Friday, January 24th: All 8th graders will visit East аæèßäapp High School

    Monday, January 27th: Mr. Richardson's 8th grade classes will register for classes

    Tuesday, January 28th: Mrs. Ballard's 8th grade classes will register for classes

    Tuesday, January 28th: аæèßäapp Early College of Medical Sciences will host an open house from 4:30-6:30pm

    Thursday, January 30th: Stuart Cramer High School will host a curriculum night at their school, starting at 5:00pm

    Friday, January 31st: deadline for 8th grade registration cards to be returned to their homeroom teacher

    Tuesday, February 4th: East аæèßäapp High School Counselors will meet individually with 8th grade students to finalize course selection

    Monday, February 10th: A School Counselor from Stuart Cramer High School will meet individually with 8th grade students to finalize course selection

    Tuesday, February 18th: аæèßäapp Early College of Medical Sciences will host an open house from 4:30-6:30pm

    Thursday, February 20th: Highland School of Technology will host an open house from 5:30-7:00pm

    Thursday, February 20th: аæèßäapp Early College High School will have an open house from 5:30-7:00pm

    Friday, March 21st: Deadline to apply to a School Choice program, to submit a transfer request, or to apply to the аæèßäapp Virtual Academy is 5pm.
