What is School Based Therapy?
School-Based Therapy is a therapy service that is offered at all аæèßäapp. Stanley Middle School works with Kintegra Health for all school-based therapy services. SBT promotes emotional health for students within their school setting. Therapists work directly with caretakers and school staff to identify students who may benefit from therapeutic services. Services provided include individual and family therapy, crisis intervention, staff consultation, and appropriate referrals to other mental health services, if needed. School-based therapists provide therapeutic counseling in dealing with emotional and behavioral problems. We are thankful to have a School Based Therapist five days a week. Only students who have completed the referral process are able to meet with our SBT.
SBT Referral Process
Step 1: Referral - Parents, school staff, or counselors can request a referral. Parents must complete and return the signed packet to one of the School Counselors.Step 2: Referral Review - Kintegra Health reviews referral information and contacts the parent/guardian. No intake appointment is needed.Step 3: Services Begin - The student begins working with the school-based therapist. For more information about SBT services, or to request a referral, please contact a School Counselor.
Currently, Stanley Middle will receive a School Based Therapist in mid-February.
