• The Center for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) Education is pleased to support the STEM Pre-College Program at UNC Charlotte. The goal of the program is to broaden the pool of traditionally-minoritized students pursuing STEM majors and careers. Its objectives are met via enrichment activities on and off the campus of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte primarily through: a Saturday Academy during the academic year; a Summer Scholars program annually in June/July; a research experiences program; and in-person/virtual interactions with STEM professionals.

    Cancer Services of аæèßäapp County is looking for students with strong leadership skills who would like to make a difference in their school and community. The mission of Cancer Services is to serve the community by actively promoting healthy lifestyles and to provide support and services needed by individuals and families living with cancer.

    Students must be willing to attend meetings and participate in activities. Meetings will be monthly with other activities throughout the school year.

    A program through аæèßäapp College that offers students the ability to obtain on-the-job training during high school that prepares them for a career in the labor field. Student apprentices take college classes at the community college while working with a mentor on the job to learn skills applicable to their field.

    The employer pays for tuition, books, supplies, and college class fees. -So it is FREE for you!

    Interested students must be at least 18 years old to apply.

  • Calling all juniors in high school!

    Apply today to serve as a Student Advisor on Superintendent Catherine Truitt's Student Advisory Council. If you are interested in state education issues, advocating on behalf of your fellow peers, and serving as an advisor to decision-makers in K-12 education, this application is for you! 


    The advisory members meet monthly and serve a two-year term that concludes at the end of your senior year of high school. At the conclusion of each year, the advisors will present a proposal to address an evolving state education issue to the Superintendent among other state leaders.

  • Council on International Educational Exchange -Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange Program

    A nonprofit, non-governmental organization aimed to help people gain understanding and develop skills for living in a globally diverse world.

    BCYX offers 250 youths each year the opportunity to live with a host family and attend high school in Germany for one academic year. It is a fully funded program sponsored by the Department of Sate's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs.

    Students who are US citizens, and born between February 1, 2004 and August 1, 2007 with a GPA of 2.5 or higher are eligible to apply.
