I have been involved with music since I was six when I began piano lessons. Since then, I have played guitar, saxophone, trumpet, and bass. My musical experience includes performing with several local and regional bands in the North Carolina area in the early 2000s and extensive work in music production and concert promotion. I have worked with well-known national recording artists and beginners in the music scene, from large venues to small concert spaces. 

I hold a Bachelor’s in Music from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where I was a member of the Guitar Ensemble and the University Chorale. I specialize in Education and Composition.

I first started in education, teaching private instrumental lessons, and working with young musicians to learn the basics, improve their skills, and prepare for performances. I was able to help beginners and advanced students achieve their goals, and many of my students went on to careers in music as performing artists to some degree. Since transitioning to a school setting in 2016, my focus has been on helping young people develop a love of music in an encouraging and enjoyable space. I use a student-centered approach to teach children music basics, allowing them to discover their talents. We focus on singing, playing instruments, and creating music together.

My name is Adraine Hill. I am the proud Innovation Station Teacher at Pleasant Ridge. I attended Belmont Abbey College and obtained my Degree in Education. I have been teaching in аæèßäapp County for over 20 years. I enjoy spending quality time with my family. I enjoy teaching students about engineering, technology, science and math. As an innovation teacher, you cannot only provide children with educational opportunities, but set them up to make their own impact on the world in the future.
