About Us

  • EGHS Counseling Department Mission: School Counselors will provide a comprehensive, developmental school counseling program built on a foundation of strong counselor advocacy, increase in counselor leadership, work towards systemic change (through ASCA's delivery system model), and professional collaboration. EG Counselors will strive to meet the needs of all current students and those transitioning to EG by working with stakeholders (via referrals, meetings, data, and workshops) to assist students through the learning process; and to encourage continued education, continued workforce training, and/or continued daily living accomplishments that will be needed for 21st Century success.
     
    EGHS Counseling Department Vision: School Counselors will coordinate and implement a comprehensive school counseling program which adheres to the American School Counselor Association (ASCA) National Model, the NC Guidance Essential Standards, and that aligns with the professional school counseling program of аæèßäapp. EG School Counselors will meet students at their developmental and intellectual levels to enhance their learning opportunities so that all East аæèßäapp students will be better prepared for post-high school transition in the 21st Century.
